BIO

Suzanne Yorgin is a recent graduate of Columbia College Chicago who majoring in Film, with a concentration in Editing and Production Design.

After watching Studio Ghibli movies and anime series as a child, Suzanne developed an enduring passion for anime.  Once she heard about the anime music video (AMV) competition at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, she quickly learned how to edit using iMovie and created The Girl Who Changed His Life using Your Lie in April Film clips.  Amazingly she was selected as a 2019 finalist - on her first attempt at editing!

Suzanne grew up in a coastal community in San Diego. Like a lot of young girls, she joined the Girl Scouts.  Their last Girl Scout bridging trip took them to Japan, which was life-changing for Suzanne.

While attending high school, she developed an ethnically and socially diverse network of friends.  She was known for being a gentle and kind-hearted leader. An interest in the LGBTQ community led to the pursuit of a minor in

Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Columbia College Chicago.
